between China and America since 1935

The China Society of Southern California's archives are gifted to the University of California's East Asian Library in 2015. They include bulletins, correspondence, meeting minutes and memorabilia, dating back to the Society's founding in 1935. The documents are available in the University's digital library under the title, China Society of Southern California Collection.

Mildred Hummel, wife of one of the founders of The China Society of Southern California, and her daughter June Thomson served as historians of the Society. They meticulously organized documents in their possession. Without their dedication, there would not be archives of records.
